Plus500 Pricing
Plus500 offers most of its services free of charge. The platform is mainly compensated for its services through the Buy/Sell (Bid/Ask) spread. This spread is incorporated into the Plus500 quoted rates and is not an additional charge or fee payable by you above the quoted rates.
To view the spread for a specific instrument, one needs to log in to their account, search for a specific instrument, select the Details icon (i) and scroll down to the Trading Info section.
Additional fees could be applied to your account, depending on your trading activity. These include:
- Overnight Funding: An overnight funding amount is either added to or subtracted from your account when holding a position after a certain time (referred to as the “Overnight Funding Time”).
- Currency Conversion Fee: Plus500 will charge a Currency Conversion Fee for all trades on instruments denominated in a currency different to the currency of your account. The Currency Conversion Fee will be reflected in real time into the unrealised profit and loss of an open position.
- Guaranteed Stop Order: A unique order type used to help you manage risks by guaranteeing the stop loss level. If you choose to use this feature, please note that as it guarantees that your position closes at a specific requested rate, it is therefore subject to a wider spread.
- Inactivity Fee: A fee of up to USD 10 per month will be levied, should you not log in to your trading account for a period of at least three months. This fee will be charged once a month from that moment onwards, as long as no login is made to the account.
Deposits and withdrawals are generally free of charge. However, on rare occasions, you may incur fees when transferring money to and from your Plus500 account. These are determined and levied by your payment issuer or bank, and not by Plus500. For example, for international card transactions, incoming/outgoing bank transfers and transactions using a currency that is not supported (Forex conversion).
As for trading fees, there are both Micro and Standard contracts available, and these come with commissions per side of $0.49 and $0.89, respectively. Plus500's pricing is slightly above the industry average and behind the best forex brokers when it comes to active trader pricing. Plus500 does not provide discounts to retail clients, but does offer cash rebates (akin to an active trader program) if you qualify and are designated as a Professional client.
Payment Method
Plus500 offers several payment methods for depositing funds:
- Debit and credit cards (only Visa and MasterCard backed cards)
- Electronic wallets (PayPal and Skrill)
- Direct bank to bank transfers
Each deposit method has its own minimum deposit level. The minimum and maximum amount that can be deposited with any payment method may vary. It's important to note that funds deposited to your account must originate from a payment method that is in the same name as the Plus500 trading account holder. Accordingly, Plus500 is obliged to verify and ensure that you are the legitimate owner of funds deposited to your account. Therefore, if you deposited by card, bank transfer, or PayPal/Skrill account, you may be asked to provide additional verification.
